Hello everyone,

First time poster here so if this is the wrong section I am sorry.

My wife and I have been traveling a lot for the past 8 years or so for work.
We have about 4 years more of this and will soon be able to settle down and build a home.

We are always talking about what we want in our home and my wife really would like to have an in-ground pool, within an enclosed building.

Pool size would probably be pretty standard 15 X 30.
Enclosure would be with many windows with a few skylights.
Would like lighting + heating in the enclosure.
Basic concrete floors.

We are not very handy ourselves. I can use a shovel and that is pretty much it...So, we would like to hire to get this done.

Now I know this can vary tens of thousands of dollars depending on the extras, but if you were to just build something based on functionality, and not too many bells and whistles, what do you think this may cost?
Again, I know this will vary, but I am guessing in the ~50K range?
Over/under estimating?

thanks

Under estimating. And in 4 years there is no telling where costs will be. There are a lot of variables, such as soil condition, pool type, location etc. My guess is $100-125K.

If you build in the south-----why a heated enclosure? If in the north----build the pool in the basement of the home-----should only add perhaps 35,000 to cost at today's prices.
