Looking for basic advice...I want to build in a gas grill and incorporate a bar onto a new deck.
I'm thinking of using cinder blocks to constuct the outside cabinet walls, as these will be covered with Cultured stone. The inside will be wood to facilitate some drawers and the like.
My question is: Since I'm building on a deck, I'm hoping I can get away with just mortaring the blocks together...i.e. no rebar and NOT FILLED with cement or mortar. Am I OK with this approach. Will this be a strong enough structure?
Better ideas will always be entertained....
Thanks
