Can I run 110/120 voltage on 5.5mm wiring or does the larger wire size have to have 220 volts?

Got a 1500W oven, 270W hood range, 160W dish dryer, 90W water machine, and will have up to 750 more Watts depending on what kitchen appliances will be used. So my total is 2,770W at around 120V. I just want to know if I need to run a 20amp breaker along with the 15amp that is there, or if I can just upgrade the wiring to 5.5mm (10awg) and install a 30 amp breaker and be done with it.

Also, if I run 5.5mm wiring from the box to the oven and then I need to put the wiring to outlets after that, do I need to use the same size wiring or can I just use the 2mm (14awg) that I've already got?

One more question, I have to cut a concrete wall to install some new wiring and then fill it back in with concrete. Do I have to use a conduit to protect the wiring? I wonder if the concrete will damage the outer coating of the wiring.
Thanks for reading my post.

You'd be much better off running a separate circuit for the oven @20 amp and then another circuit @20 amp for the rest.

If you start with 10 AWG you have to run it for the whole circuit. And you have to use 30 amp outlets for the whole circuit.

It doesn't sound if you are in the USA. NEC code requires very specific wiring practices for kitchens, you should start by looking at some of the codes.

If you run wires through anything and then fill, the wires must be protected by a conduit.

Great! Thanks for the information. No, I'm not in the US and building codes around here are pretty much do what ever you want (so it seems from the kind of work I've seen). There is a 15amp in there now, so I'll either just add a 20amp along with it or change out the 15 to a 20 and add another 20. Thanks so much for the reply.

Well, guess I'd better get to the store and get some wires and conduit as well.

I'll see if I can find any info on those codes you referred before starting my project. Thanks again.

Make sure if you change out that 15A breaker to a 20A breaker that you also upgrade the wiring on that circuit to at least 12ga.
