Hello guys, I need some help!
Recently, I discovered that my dishwasher has been leaking water. Unfortunately, it did a number on the floor (2 layers of linoleum on top of plywood subfloor.)
The Dishwasher was old, so I got it out of there, and am replacing it with a new one, so the leaking issue is fixed. I ripped up the floor around the dishwasher that was damaged by the water. It was bubbled up, and obviously soaked. Here's my problem. I now have the waterlogged floor cut out and it's down to the wood subfloor. I am going to use the "Peel and stick" Vinyl tiles for my new floor. I've had good luck with them in the past in other rooms, and they are quite simple to install..
What I need to know is, do I have to rip up my entire kitchen floor (several levels of old linoleum flooring) down to the wood subfloor, and place the new tile over that, or is there anything I can buy and place down on the area that is now down to just the subfloor, where I have ripped up the old laminate flooring layers. Previously, I had placed the peel and stick tiles right over my old linoleum, but since there is that area around the dishwasher that I had to cut out, I obviously have no old linoleum.. I was hoping there was a leveling product I could fill in, in that area so that I could avoid ripping up my entire floor, and starting from scratch. ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading!
