I'm still plugging away on our new front porch:

The sucker is 5'deep, and `10' wide. I'm going to have scissor-trusses built (and put cedar T/G boards on the vaulted "ceiling", as well as on the gable-end). I'm not sure what spacing I should set the trusses at though. Obviously there'll be one at 0", and one at 60". Should I have the intermediate ones at 20" and 40"? Or should I put them at 16", 32", and 48"? I dunno. I guess I'll need to discuss that with my truss designer/manufacturer, though I'm sure they'll want me to buy five pieces at 16" OC, instead of just four pieces at 20" OC. And yeah, the truss spacing would have an affect on what material I use for sheathing too, wouldn't it?
