I have always used polyurethane on furniture to seal the finish. Until recently...I noticed that two of my pieces had some weird white peeling stuff going on...these were pieces that were finished over 8 yrs ago.
Do I decided to try my hand at polycrylic, and found I was not happy at all! I painted it over a light colored piece hoping to avoid, the above mentioned issue. After I waited for over a week before putting it in place in my home. My hubby put one cold beer on it without a coaster:rolleyes:...and boom...the polycrylic is now peeling up!
WTH????

I need help with my issues!

Are you using sanding sealer or similar as a first coat, this will cause it to let go. Only other thing that pops to mind is something in your machining... silicone on tool bases, stearate coated sandpaper (the white stuff).

Hello, I am obviously new here. But is there a way to post a question to Don_P directly? I have a question about ridge beam sizing.
Thanks,
Henri :)

Why not simply post the question like all the rest do? That way we all can benefit from the replies.
