I'm installing trim throughout my house and using coped joints. however I am unsure how to join a connection for a 270 degree angle -- as follows (cheesy ascII art):

________
**************| < trim on this side
**************|
**************|

my issue is that either way i cope it the endgrain will be exposed. should rosettes be used in this instance?

I guess I'm not seeing the 270 degree angle :)
Let me see if I can get it anyway.
If the angle between the walls is 270 then you're doing an outside corner.. you're going to have to miter it or add some type of plinth block on each face. Shouldn't have any coping to do.

A 270 degree angle is a 90, no? 45 + 45 outside angles works for me.
