demolish and rebuild

I'm looking into knocking down a section of my house. It's approx. 25'wide by 32' deep single story gable ranch. 4-12 roof pitch. I know pricing questions are tough to answer but I'll ask anyway. Materials only to frame, sheath, shingle, windows and siding. I'm thinking of going with pre-fab trusses and vinyl siding. Does anyone have a clue on what this would cost to do myself? I'm talking a no-frills basic structure. Foundation and flooring are in good shape. I am located in Buffalo, N.Y. Thanks for any replies, great site.

Ambitious aren't you? :)
Materials - you're probably looking at somewhere between 25 and 45 / sf if you do the labor. If you have a plan you can take it to a local lumber store and many will do a take off of materials for you.

Don't forget the costs of getting rid of the demolition materials.
