Okay first I am not a A/C guy, Just a home owner watching the work beng done.
so the question is if I have a 1600 square foot home in south florida with R15
walls, Low e glass and closed cell foam r 30 in the Concrete roof Is 4 ton too much ? Heat cals where done and the Plans call for it so I guess it is.
Just seems like a lot. Unit will be a 2 speed compressor and variable speed fan.
Second question,
If 4 ton of A/c is =1600 CFM (( 4oo cm/ton)) Is it okay, that when Adding up all the Vents on the Plans only equal 900 cfm ? Seems like that would not be efficient ? unit pushing 1600 cfms thru a 900 cfm rated duct.
or am I just lost and should just sit in the corner and let the A/C contractor
do their thing
