I have seen alot of information about the correct way to wire a spa/ hot tub that is outdoors, but what are the requirements for a spa/ hot tub that is completely indoors? Do you need to have a disconnect within sight, but greater that 5' from the tub? Do you still need to have a GFCI Breaker for the spa/ hot tub? Can I connect the spa with a GFCI breaker at the main panel without a disconnect?
The electrical requirements are 40a 220v and it is to be installed about 25-30' from the main electrical panel.
