Has anyone out there had any problems with the a/c with a new styrofoam block home.
We recently built a new home with approximately 2600 sq. ft. of living space and the a/c never stops running. We put in the recommended size a/c unit and still running.
Today it is 70 degrees outside and with the thermostat set at 74 it was running.

Any comments?

Remember one thing with an ICF home.. they are very tight. Because of that your home gets very little air infiltration.. we've had designs where the fan is almost constantly running to get enough air changes in the home so the air doesn't get stale.
Are you sure the a/c is actually turning on or just the fan? I would think if the a/c is running continuously it would eventually freeze up.

To tell the truth, I don't know if it's the a/c running all the time. I'm assuming it is because it never seems to keep the house at the thermostate setting.
