Im getting ready to expand my house and am looking the the styrofoam concrete forms. There are two types that Ive seen. One is basically a styrofoam block that you lay and fill and the other consists of styrofoam panels that you fill with concrete. Supposedly can give you up to R-25.

Has anyone used these products before? If so, would you use them again and what are your opinions on the products?

Thanks,
Roger

For a diy project concrete forms are an excellent way to go - if you're only doing the foundation. If you are planning to do the whole house then I would hire a professional.
My personal opinion is I like wood :) but the ICF forms have some great advantages over wood framing - sound, R value, fireproof, etc. This is a bit more cost in ICF's versus framing - from extension jambs for doors, windows, etc.
