I am laying about 700 sqf of hardwood - 3/4 by 2 1/4 and about 900 sft of 16 X 16 marble tile. The space to tile is fairly straight forward with tile to be laid diagonally. The hardwood area, 2 bedrooms, has about 6 doorways, 3 closets and a 10 ' by 4' hallway.

How much should I charge?

I have laid both many times and am pretty good at it.

Washingdon DC, Northern Va area.

Thanks

Rick

3/8" marble tile - labor would be around $9 / sf plus burdens. Strip flooring will be around $1.50-$2.00 / sf plus burdens (labor)..
I would probably add another 50% to those numbers for the diagonal. Also add $1.00 - $1.50 / sf for finishing.
This is just my outdated calculations so definately wait for more answers :)
