I was just purchasing finished 3/4" hardwood from a supplier and was approached by one of the stores install guys who was trying to get the business. Anyway, he mentioned to me that he installs pre-finished 3/4" hardwood using only a 15 ga Brad Nailer, 1 1/4 brads. I always use a hardwood floor nailer and use brads only for the first couple of rows and the last couple.

Is using a Brad Nailer to nail all the hardwood flooring a good thing to do?

Thanks in advance,

Rick

I wouldn't suggest a brad nailer (other than what you stated).. possibly a 15 gauge stapler. My personal preference is the barbed cleats - in the correct length of course :)
