I am going to build a sun room from an existing framed screen porch. I am going to use vinyl sliding doors all around, with transem windows above them. I will frame in around the sliders.
I will need to mull the vinyl doors and transems. Since I am tight on opening space top to bottom, can I attach them without framing between them and if so how?
Secondly, I have a brick/concrete floor that I will be setting the doors on. What do you suggest I use to seal this area? silicone?
Thanks, Bill
I know this might be a dumb question, but why not just buy a sun room kit? So that you know you are doing it right and you will not have any leaks. Plus they come and install it.

Most of the manufacturs' make a "mull kit" to join their products together, most take up less than 1/4". Check the maker for the "mull". If you are using the Silverline product, the transom will be made to order so you can call out the height.
I'm usually partial to butyl caulk for sills but you need to make sure whatever you use is compatible with the vinyl sill, some are not.

That homeowner obviously didn't have the sense to come ask for advice when he needed it.
...My wife always gives me trouble because I won't start on a big project without first consulting at least one of my brothers. I always want a 2nd input and a 2nd set of eyes.
