Hi, this is my first posting. I am adding on a 2 story addition over my garages. I have to lower the garage roof on one of the garages, which only gives me room for a 2x6 header over the 9' wide garage door. The existing header is 2 - 2x10's. My questions is... Can I replace this header with 3 2x6 enginneered laminated headers? (1 3/4" wide each) This wall is supporting 2 floors above it and the roof tusses, which are huge. The truss span is 43' 4" (big addition). The sissor roof trusses have a 8/12 outside pitch and a 6/12 inside pitch. Thanks!
