This refers to 24" on center or the spacing from one joist, stud, or truss to the next. Typically your homes have exterior walls spaced at 16" on center and interior walls at 24" on center - Floor joists at 24" on center and roof trusses at 24" on center.

Ok.. here's the lowdown. o.c. equals on center. So any number you put ahead of it will be the spacing between each joist, stud, truss, or any other thing that is designated.
Hope that clears it up for everyone.. haha.

You gotta register to post now? Boy that's mean!

the spacing between each joist, stud, truss, or any other thing that is designated.

Some people take that literally, so you might want to clarify that it is the space from center of joist to center of joist, or from edge to edge. I had a guy in Yakima lay out the joists 16" inside. That is, he put one down, butted the tape to it, and laid the next. So the lay out was whacked. :(

Yes.. that is true. I should have clarified that.

I did that so I know who I'm talking to. It may be easier I guess to get people involved without having to register. I'll change it back.

I don't mind registering to post - but it's not fun when you gotta activate the account by clicking on an email. :(

I love the color scheme you got going here. :D
