to metal?
We have Two large I-beams running the length of our house and 13 feet out of the back to support a preplanned Cement slab deck. We are the new owners and are not intending on pouring the concrete but want to build our mahogany deck directly on top of the Ample support.

There are STeal 2x6s running as joists paralell to the house. We intend to put the wooden-joists for our ontop of those whats the best way to attach them to the 2x6 metal hollow beems?

Please Email gary@datausa.com with answer... built many decks but cannot find the code on this one.
thanks

You probably won't find a code that specifically deals with that issue. I would suggest attached 2x's to the tops of the steel 2x6's and then the mahogany decking can attach directly to them.
To attach the 2x to the steel 2x6 you could use Hilti anchors.
