Hiya,
Just wondering if anybody has ever used the J channel tool? ( http://www.j-channeltools.com/ ) and if so, what did you think?
Good, bad, or great?
It looks like a pretty handy tool. I can see how it would make it easier..

if you just have to cut 45 degree ends like around windows and doors then whats hard about that ?
im missing out on something here, heh
does it have to do with perfectionism or ?
Actually had the manufacturer send a couple to me to review for him. It's not hard to cut 45's on channel the tool just makes it easier. I would typically use a speed square and it's just kind of unwieldy to use with something so small. The actual perfectionism comes from the cut itself (snips) and not the tool.

Speed square is what my guys usually use.

You'd be amazed at how much easier it is to leave your speed square in your pouch, and your pencil on your ear, and just cut the J-channel by 'eye'. Grab yourself a scrap piece of 'J' and practice your '45's about 20 or 30 times, and you'll soon leave that speed square on the shelf somewhere.

I have used a chop saw with the blade reversed. Cuts like a charm. Use a similar method for cutting alum soffit, except I use a circular saw and jig.
