Beam and deck joists suggested

Can someone let me know of a beam requirement if I plan on having a deck that goes out 12 feet from the house with posts at 11 ft out (so it would have a 1 ft cantilever). What would the beam size be if I went with posts every 8-9 feet apart along the back of the house. Also, should the joists be 2X10? Any suggestions/comments appreciated.

2x10's at 16 o.c. would be alright but if you want 24 o.c. then go with 2x12's. Assuming D-Fir #2 or btr. For the header I would suggest going with double 2x12 nailed and glued.
