May I ask who the company is? Don't larger GC's typically hire their own personnel? Just curious.

From project manager to general manager? Hmmm big jump. I think I'll pass they didn't even say what city the position is in.

Yeah... I find it interesting that a 30 million annual company would hire out to someone else to find a project manager.

Then again the first time IBM didn't promote it's CEO from inside people all thought that was strange. Now look at IBM.

I've found that for the most part job shops also called employment agencies are a waste of the job seekers time. Just my opinion after interviewing with a few back in the early 90's.

Yep.. employment agencies usually don't take the time to learn what the job seekers strengths, weaknesses, experience level, etc.. is so they never get a true picture of what they are after. My wife has used an employment agency a couple times and her experience is in banking, financial type industries and they were sending her to interviews with clothing stores at the mall. A total waste of time.

Well you can't blame them. Their compensation comes from filling the position. I'd be a bigger whore if in their position... but since I am on the other side of the table all my online resumes are set to not be viewable by agencies.

Yeah I suppose. Still makes me mad.
