I finally took the plunge!

Bought my first bike today! I have been looking at this one for about two years. Caught the owner half way through a move and he sold it to me.

I bought a used 900cc crotchrocket when I was about 20 or so. I wasn't scared of it at all - until one day....
looked at speedo and it said 160 - sold it about a week later. Scared me.

Thats why I wanted the Goldwing - its an "old fart's" bike.

Yeah I have been riding since I was young too, and I have seen alot of friends go down and it is all to tragic for me right now.

I love motorcycles, both the road bikes and the off road bikes. I can directly attribute at least 4 operations to my dirtbike.

I gave up motorcycles almost 6 years ago when my wife got pregnant with our first. Switched to old trucks and jeeps as bikes are kind of solitary activities. With the old jeep or old truck, I can strap the kids in and go. And, the kids LOVE it (and they are only 3 and 5 - still too young to put on a bike).
