This is a repost of my post in the roofing section. Anybody??

So I'll be doing my metal roofing in a couple weeks. I've ordered the metal, but none of the accessories (flashing, etc.)

There is one part that I cannot visualize. The lower pitch on my gambrel roof is 20/12. I have gable dormers on the lower pitch, which start right at the pitch change. I understand that you normally take the metal down to about 2-3" from the bottom of the valley. My question is how do I terminate that valley flashing properly back in with the regular vertical pitch? There will be 6" overhangs on the dormers. I found a building that has a similar setup, but still cannot clearly visualize what to do. Can anybody help?

Here is a picture of that other building that I mentioned. It has exactly what I'm talking about.

Is this the correct technique? If so, what order do you put the pieces down?

Look at my site and see if any of my tin pics help. I'm not sure that I could put all of it in writing. Hope it helps some.
