Housewrap

Couldnt find the proper place to put this post... hope this is fine...
I am having a house build by a contractor and I am a relative novice in this area. It had been recommended to me to use tyvek wrap under my vinyl siding but the contractor has used Dow's weathermate styrofoam plus. Does anyone have an opinion of one over the other?

It's a relatively new product from Dow - and is very comparable to Tyvek. I would not be concerned. Albeit an odd name for housewrap :D

Is the dow a vapor barrier "house wrap" like tyvek or an ISO insulation board?

If it is a housewrap like tyvek, I wouldn't worry. If it is an ISO insulation board then insist on some form of house wrap over the ISO. ISO insulation boards do not waterproof, that's the job of the housewrap. ISO insulation boards are meerly a thermal insulation.
