Were going to be doing the rough in soon for the Hvac. I have already upgraded to 12 seer units and 2 stage furnace (gas). Are any of these add-ons worth their weight in gold ?
HEPA air cleaners with carbon
Ultraviolet unit
EVA/HVA ventilator system
Humidifier
These are all Honeywell products. I am most cocerened with toxic gases and things from all the new construction. In what order of importance would you rate these ?

It all depends whether you NEED them or not. If you have allergies or don't like dust then Hepa is great but remember one thing because they do such a great job they must be cleaned more often. If you want a filter system you don't have to clean very often I would suggest cattle fencing.
Ultra violet light the same thing.
HVA I thought was just a marketing thing until I worked at a trade show and was surprised at the number of people like them and what surprised me more was that they knew when and if it wasn't working.
Humidifier are great but depends whether you need one or not. If you are in long heating season the inside air becomes dry and moist air is much easier to heat and is much more comfortable.
Your choice.

Thanks for the reply. EVA/HVA is on the top my my list. I wouldn't mind installing myself the Ultraviolet and Humidifier at a later date once I can tell I need them.
