My aeriator system runs on a timer. When it is running all of the AC circuits in the house are affected by RF interference. When the motor stops the interference on the AM band goes away. What can I do to eliminate the RF????

Sounds like you need a noise filter, In the car stareo world, a "ground loop isolator" inline filter takes care of engine noise, the alternator on a car will give noise and when put thru an amp makes a bad whine.

Isolating the grounds between your radio and pump may be difficult. It may be that your pump isn't grounded?

Probably the easiest way to fix the problem is some type of line filter, a good UPS will usually do the same.
Here is one that X10 sells,

Here is one that requires you to wire it:

The pump is grounded to the neutral bar in the breaker box, along with everthing else on that circuit. The rf interference is so severe that it jumps on to other circuits in the house. I can't come up with any practical way to isolate the ground on that circuit. If I understand an isolated ground it requires a green insulated ground wire (not bare copper) and it has to travel all the way to the breaker box in one continuous run. That would isolate the ground on one receptacle. That type of insulated and isolted ground works great for computers. In practice it can only be done by wiring a new circuit. This pump is part of an existing circuit so I think I'm screwed.

I'd just get a noise filter and be done with it.
