I finished installing all of my windows today. Overall, I'm satisfied with my Milgard windows. I wanted to issue a word of warning, however. Their bay windows suck. The wankers take three standard windows and scab them together. The side nailing fins are 45 degrees from the plane of the wall! I had to rip triangular pieces of wood out of a 2x4, screw those to the wall, then nail through the fins into them. I expected a bit more for a $600 window! :roll:
Secondly, somebody was asleep at the wheel, and installed four sashes upside down in one of the two windows. I was freaked when I first noticed it, thinking that the whole window would have to be replaced. I was quite relieved to find out that they will come out and fix it under warrantee without having to replace the whole thing.
