Just Finished New house- Put in lots of time and work but I think is was worth it. Saved enough doing it myself to make it worthwhile. Here are a few pics of the stained concrete floors.

Nice work N2Deep
I personally don't care for concrete floors - too hard on the back after a spell of walking on them. But you did a great job on them nonetheless.

I didn't want tile that would break along the cracks in the concrete(been there done that). I also don't think the concrete is that much harder on your feet than tile but thats my opinion. If I ever want to change it, I can then just tile over it. Unlimited colors and designs. I got the idea from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas -they have the same thing in their forum stores.
You can also put radiant heating in to keep your floors warm, but I did not. I like the fact that they stay cool durning the summer months when its 115+ everyday. Built fairly energy effiecent house- Icyene insulation throughout and a sealed attic, Radiant barrier on exterior sheathing and roof sheathing, tinted windows to block intense sun radiation during summer with e coating on both panes of glass, tankless hot water heaters. All electric and my first electric bill was only $70 on a 3030 sq foot house. We willl see what it's like in the heat of summer 8)
2 coats of concrete sealer and about 6 coats of commercial wax.

Very impressive.

Was each color a seperate pour? Did you add the color to the concrete in the truck? Or, did you mix small batches on your own?

I've done colored sidewalks and can't imagine mixing wet color...

I believe he probably just used concrete stain. You paint it on, and it chemically reacts with the concrete, giving a deep, permanent finish. I wanted to stain some parts of my basement floor, but we had to seal it due to really hot weather, so the stain won't work very well any more. Check out http://www.concrete-stains.com

Correct you stain it similar to staining wood. And cut designs with a concrete blade to transition colors. Then seal over it.
