100 y.o. house. 2 story. Glass block window in basement was leaking undetected. Approx. 3 ft. Portion of 2x4 sill plate as well as 2x4 rim has rotted, with half being under the window. It seems to be offering ZERO support at the moment. I was going to: 1) Remove the glass block window 2) cut out damaged wood 3) Replace damaged sill & rim with pressure treated and supplement any suspect studs with a sister piece 4) Replace window 5) Seal it all up.

Concerns: Not planning to use any support while replacing damaged section (as I said, it seems to offer no support currently and it appears to only affect 2 studs)

I have done quite a bit of renovation on this house but have never touched the sill plate or exterior studs so I am looking for advice/assurance that I can do this without too much worry of screwing something else up.

If you're not sure - provide a temporary shoring wall a couple feet back from the area to support the floor area. The rest of your plan sounds very solid.
