Who do you usually have to install the windows? Rough framer? Window supplier? I thought I'd ask since some window companies require their window suppliers who were trained and certified to install windows (usually as replacement windows in place of existing windows). Otherwise, the warranty may be voided. :(
I've always installed my own windows and doors - guess you could call me the framer (via being a GC).

Typically the rough carpenter/framer does the windows. I've seen the siding guys do them but very seldom.
I do roofing and siding and I can say that usually when I am doing the roof the carpenters are doing the windows. I've never installed windows on new construction, but have many times when it comes to remodeling.

Usually the framer does.
Most builders that I work with will call me out to inspect them before the framer leaves. We do a lot of intensive trim where everything has to line up correctly.
I set the exterior doors myself. I don't want a framer touching one.
