I have a space that I need to insulate in tht enext few days so my siding guys can go over the area. It's at the two ends of a crawl space that is spanned by 16" I-Joists. Since the board that the I-Joists fastens to is on the inside of the 2x6 knee wall, it has to be insulated from the outside. By the same token, there's no way to add a vapor barrier to the inside of this space.
I'm pretty sure that fiberglass batts are out of the question. What would be appropriate?
Polyisocyanurate? Polystyrene? Foil-faced or not?
