I am in the process of building a new house and intended to use a standard copper pipe potable water supply system. My contractor recently asked if I would be interested in using the Manabloc modular manifold plumbing system instead. He was not real familiar with the system but indicated that he thought he could install it for nearly the same price as copper and felt that there may be several benefits. I have pulled up the product literature on the internet and it seems to be a beneficial product. I am wondering if anyone has experience using this system that could provide some feedback - especially someone who has one installed in their own house.

If toolbase and the NAHB says its good - I would tend to agree.

I have that in my house...works great if the person installing it knows how to use it, I had a few leaks that I fixed, not a big deal.

It's been used in Europe for a while before it caught on in North America, practically all the new houses in my area use it.

I've also seen the same thing made out of copper, someone had a bit of time on there hands with that one, nice work though.

I'll have to post some pics of my radiant and water distribution manifolds when I get them done...
Many days of work, but pretty darn cheap. :)
