What circular saw would you buy? :D

And what drill? :D

Skil magnum or Dewalt worm drive.

I don't do regular circ saws, ever.

Bosch or Milwaukee on a drill, preferably Bosch.

Good choices Dragon - I might lean a little more towards the corded Milaukee drill.

And why is that?

Can you get a worm drive in right hand? All i see is left hand. :?

All i have used in my life is circular.

My Dewalt is right hand - or at least it works better for me right handed as I can see the blade. I'm left handed though :)

Umm.. circ saws ARE left hand. Most, anyway, if you want to actually see what you are doing without being a contortionist.

Worm drives are easier to cut with. The worm drive saw was originally called a rafter saw. It is designed to hang straight down and was originally used to cut off rafter tails from above. The balance on them is much better than a circular saw, making ripping easier. Having the blade on the left gives right handed folks better line of sight. Weighing a little bit more provides better stabilization.

I'll agree with 'worm-drive' for framing, - - but I'll take a 'side-winder' anyday for finish work.

Your 'line-of-sight', amongst other great features, is why I've preferred Makita's sidewinder over any other saw for 20+ years.

The 'line-of-sight' is so good, - - that which side of the line you need to cut on is not even an issue.

It's balance is good enough that I have no problem making 'factory' cuts with it, - - of course, - - maybe that's because I'm just so used to it.

Not saying anything against worm-drives, - - just more an issue of heavy-duty work (framing) vs. light-duty work (finishing).

Although for me, the Makita works great for both.

I don't know exactly why, - - but it seems the East Coast (even a lot of the framers) prefer sidewinders, - - and the West Coast prefers worm-drives, - - Texas?, Arkansas?, - - you tell me what's preferred.

Both...

It seems like around here the older guys prefer wormdrives while the pups prefer circs. They whine that the wormdrives are too heavy.

I always reply, "Umm, dude... You're a framer."
