Max distance from sink on dishwasher install ?

Got a "U" shaped kitchen layout and can't get the dishwasher right beside the sink....gonna have to go around the U into a space in those cabinets.....would prefer NOT to have it right in the corner, but out in the center of that bank of cabinets so it's accessible from both sides easily.

I can go under the floor ( crawl space ) with the electircal and plumbing connections and come back up in the corner of the sink cabinet to access the hot water line and drain.

Any problems ya'll have encounter with running a drain down and back up that far.....which would be about 8' of total line ?

When I installed my dishwasher last year, right in the manual it gave a max distance for the drain line. I don't foresee a problem with the water line, just the dishwasher being able to pump the water out to the drain.

TnAndy... I had the same problem you did, I didn't have to go all the way around the "u", but it was still about 8 or 10 feet. I ran the line along the wall to the sink...about 4 or 5 years ago, still no problems. But, like midnightscape says, check your manual for max distances.

Yeah, thanks guys......I was really trying to avoid the last resort of RTFM.......ahahahahaa........but I guess I'll break down and do it.
