im thinking of installing electric baseboard heat in my new addition,
(24'x24')
any suggestions? comments?
my house now has all electric radiant heat in the plaster ceilings, and my rates are lower in the heating months. i installed hot water baseboard in the rest of the house, but really dont feel like running plumbing to the addition.

Make sure your electrical service is up to the task, first and foremost.

You'll be running them off of 220V, so each breaker will take up two spaces in your breaker box. You could locate them to a subpanel if you don't have enough space free, but have large enough service.

Other than that, it's just a matter of sizing the wires to the units, and running them. Nothing particularly special.

i have 200 amp service , and am installing an 8/16 space sub panel, which will be fed by a 50 amp breaker from the main box.
