I have been investigating sink pumps for the installation of a wet bar in my finished basement. I have seen two types. I 'sump pump' type set up that seems similar to a grinder/ejector pump that was installed before the concrete floor as well as a 'direct connect' pump that I found at this web site.

The direct connect option seems to be the simplest option. Wondering if anyone has any experience with one or both of these set ups.

Unfortunately due to the location of the rough in plumbing, attaching the wet bar sink to the existing grinder pump is not an option without breaking out a lot of concrete.

Thanks

Never used one of those pumps but it's a great idea.

I'D BE CURIOUS OF THE COST IF YOU HAVE PRICED THIS UNIT. I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY BAR IN MY BASEMENT. AWESOME IDEA.

The price was in the $250 range. A little more than the sump style.

But think of the money and time saved of putting in a sump/ejector pump.

HINT! The pump gpm performance installed must be able to handle all gpm of water sources it serves or the tank will overflow. I was the heating department in a plumbing wholesale place once. Do not go to big, I would not like the water setting in the tank for long periods of time between parties.
