Rich, I had a thought after test driving your Roof Rafter Angles calculator the other day.
Have you ever thought of extending its scope to accept two unequal pitches at any deck angle? Bastard hips and valleys, in other words?
Maybe add a field to enter spacing on centers and return rafter-purlin differences in length? Links to sketches and diagrams?
It’s not tough to do; my very first programmable calculator had only a .4K (yes, that’s a decimal point, not a typo) memory and I managed to get this in there with room to spare. It didn’t included all your allowances for overhangs, ridges, etc; just dimensions to the working points.
The online calculator need not be much more detailed than suggested, or it’s “Information Overload”.
What do you think? :)

I hadn't thought of doing it to be honest.. but I could probably do two different calculators - one for advanced and keep this one as is.

You could call it:

Current Editions: calculator program, Excel worksheets, online javascript calculators: About a dozen.
Past editions: Quick Basic 40 version calculated angles and created simple sketches on screen in perspective, isometric or orthographic projection.
HUGE spreadsheet, ongoing for years. About 600 hours sunk into this, with no end in sight.
Actually, I don't really use a dimension calculator any more. Trying to keep track of thirty-five angles, a dozen planes and twice that many lines of intercept has grown too cumbersome. Nowadays I just print out a list of the miter and cutting angles and create scale 3D models of the joints. Any other dimensioning is done on-site, as required, on the spur of the moment. I call it "shooting from the hip". Pun intended. :D
