I just need some help pricing a new deck. It will attach to the house. It will be 10ft. wide and 9ft. deep. It will have a wheelchair ramp down one side and 4 steps down the other as it will only be a little over 3ft. off the ground. It will also have hand rails and spindels. Nothing fancy as it will just be me building it. What would be a cheap price for just the labor? Can somebody help?

If you are building it, why do you need a price for the labor?

Thanks, - - that's what I was tryin' to figure out!

I guess maybe he means he's building it for someone else?

You're both right. I don't think I prased the question right. I was just wondering what a decent price would be to charge for a new deck. I didn't want to overcharge the job or short myself. I went the best way and charged by the day. Thanks anyway. I start the job Thurs.

What did you come up with for your estimate?

$200 a day and he buys the materials.

Good, - - now just keep a little 'job record' of the square footage, time, materials, etc. - - and it'll help you out next time. Good Luck, - - let us know how it goes.

P.S. Important to know what kind of fasteners, etc. to use with the new treated wood. Let us know if you have any questions.
