How do I anchor a wood fence to a stucco wall of a garage?

I would suggest lag bolts or a carriage thru-bolt. This all depends on where the fence lands. If it lands right on a framing member I would use the lag bolts - long enough to get at least 2" of embedment in the framing member. If it lands between framing members then use a carriage bolt through the wall and the fence post... but put a 2x backer in between the framing joists that the carriage bolt will go through. Nail the backer board to the stud framing on each side.
