Hi everyone :D . New here but for the last week been checking the board, sure has alot of GOOD info. The situation I have right now is. I purchased a Sterling wall tub enclosure (Type Mounts to Studs) and wondering weather I should just run a GOOD Heavy bead of silicone caulk or if there is some MAGIC glue I should use to mount the Vikrell surround to my metal tub. Thought of using a fiberglass cloth and resin, but that would be a permanent attachment. Would like to, if any future problems arise be able to pull the surround out without destroying it. This is replacing a ceramic tile install that was only mounted to standard sheetrock and leaked when taking a shower. If pics are needed let me know. BTW, the tub is in great shape and no need to replace it. The tub also has the standard 1/2" lip around it ( ___| ).

Thanks
John

We've just siliconed it in some of ours and I don't believe we've ever had a problem with any of them. I think we've done 4 or 5 like that in houses we own (rentals) and some were done years ago.

 That's what I thought also but just wanted to double check. Never worked with one of these types of surrounds before. Have done 3 others using that 1/8" acrlic sheet stuff that you cut to size and glue to the wall.

:D Thanks Again!! :D
