What is the best band saw?

I'm going to buy a 14" band saw for my workshop, and am torn between the Delta and Ridgid saws. Does anyone have any suggestions, and/or warnings of what to avoid? I'll be using it for home projects and restoring old furniture. Thanks

My personal opinion - the Grizzly has won the tool of the year from woodworking magazine and the price is between the Ridgid and Delta. Best of both.

Its a shame you arent closer. I'd make you a deal on a Delta. A smaller one would serve my needs just as well and take up less space in my trailers.

Grizzly is what I would go for too, - - stay away from the 'Jet', - - I love some of their machines (cabinet saw, surface planer), - - but their band saw has a lot to be desired.
