Nice work Dragon.. is that lacquer, poly, or something else? Looks a little bright for poly maybe..

I believe the painter used lacquer. I see very little polyurethane used around here.
Yeah - poly is a little dull for my taste but I like the dry time and ease of applying it. Was hoping it was poly so I could find out who makes it :)

I'm not usre I like the tiles. It probably looks different IRL. Everything else is really impressive. Those cabinets are good enough to retain a glance, which is how I measure art.

Dragon, - - the cabinets are absolutely beautiful!!
I'm not 'big' on the tiles either, - - though the workmanship looks fine, - - the dark ones don't work for me at all, - - and IMO (as if you asked), - - if the diagonals are going to be 'bordered' with squares at the bottom, - - so should the top.
And are they 'appliance-freaks' or something? - - outlets every 4', - - not every 2', - - or just do doubles, - - all them outlets and switches just take away from the tilework, - - also, - - their location should be about 3-4" lower than they are, - - not that I would say anything!! :D
No 'subtlety' to the lighting either, - - are the undercab lights like every 6"?, - - or am I seeing things.
I guess I don't leave much doubt that I'm very opinionated on design!!
But again, - - the cabinets are absolutely 'striking'!!
You do some really nice work, Dragon.

Nice work... can you tell us a bit about how you did your under-cabinet lighting? That is, what type of lighting, etc.
Thanks.

I guess I could go look. I just built the cabinets. The electrician did the lighting. I need to hunt him down anyway and ask why he put that crappy cream colored receptacle and cover on my bar anyway! :?

So as not to hi-jack Dragon's thread (as if we could), - - I'll start a thread on under-cab lighting later today or tonight under DIY.
