Has anyone had experience with Hitachi tools? How do they perform compared to Dewalt, Boush, etc.?

I really like Hitachi tools for the most part. Their air nailers are very nice as well as their miter saws etc.. Comparable in price to Dewalt and comparable in quality to Milwaukee.
That's my opinion anyway :)

I'm only familiar with their miter saws and framing nailers, - - but like Rich says, - - thumbs up. Speaking for myself, - - my 'favorites' in no way encompass just one brand. For instance, I think most would agree Bosch makes the best jig saw, - - I also like Bosch's SCMS, - - but most seem to favor DeWalt or Hitachi, - - I like Porter Cable finish guns, and Hitachi for framing, - - I like a Makita sidewinder and a Milwaulkee sawzall. I'm not big on anything by Ryobi, - - but maybe they've gotten better. Anyway, the list goes on.

I just bought a Hitachi jigsaw at Lowes. Maybe I should return it and get a Bosch.

What advantage does the Bosch have over Hatachi?

I've never used a Hitachi jig saw, - - so I don't know how they match up in a comparison sense, - - and obviously I can't say there's anything wrong with your Hitachi, - - just saying the Bosch would be hard to beat, - - and from what I hear, - - many others feel the same. Basically, - - it's well-powered, well-balanced, variable speed, has adjustable orbital cutting action, takes T-shank blades that stay in place, has tool-less blade removal, and cuts through wood like butter. I have two of 'em, one's about 5 years old, the other's about 2.
