Hi all, I'm new here. Got here through the recommendation of a friend at another forum. I'm currently building a house in NC and have a few questions. we want to use onepiece shower/tub units in our bathrooms. We are fine with standard 60" units everywhere but our bathroom. Wife wants a larger unit and I'm wondering whats the largest unit available and who makes the best. We have our other baths framed in for 60" tub units, but our bathroom is much larger and can easily fit a much larger unit. Any help or advice is appreciated.

I've heard they make a 6' tub/shower combo available for special order. I've never heard of anything bigger than 6'.

I just tried one of these for the first time. It's 2 piece though. From Lasco.

I put in Lasco -just because I live a few miles from one of the factories and got a good deal on them. But had to get one Auqa glass brand and it seemed much thicker and stronger than the Lasco. Besides one of my Lasco tubs had a spot that didn't get enough fiberglass and had cracks, so it had to be repaired. As far as sizes I would check lascobathware.com and look at all their sizes to see if one fits.

Good Luck

Where are you building in NC? I asked my supplier in Raleigh recently the same question and I am thinking that he said he could get a 6' shower...

I'm about 100 miles from Raleigh. However I met with a plumber friend of mine and he's looking into prices. He also said he could get a 6' unit.
