Hi
I am planning to build third floor wood deck, 20' above ground, with stairs to the ground, in Toronto, ON. Deck dimensions would be 4' by 4' approx. I am thinking of using 2 PSL posts with cross brcing between and propper concrete footings at the corners and attach other side to the ledger.
What do you think about this structure ? Would it be cheaper to make this out of steel ? And how to protect PSL posts from moisture ?
thanks
