new front porch frost wall question

I have removed the old front porch which was about 4' by 20'. It was attacjed to the hose with reb bar and bricks were removed and the concrete was poured into the voids left by the brick. The slab also used to support the roof above. It no longer needs to souport the roof. I would like to repour a new slab. Here is my question. Can I trench and pour a frost wall with out footings? Could I pour the frost wall first and then pour the slab later or do they need to be done in a monolithic fashion. I am concerned the the trench for the frost wall will not hold with the forms for the top slab??

if your porch is no longer going to support any weight i would say you would be just fine pouring a trenched frost wall with the slab. if you want to do it in two pours just place #4 rebar at 24" centers from the trench pour bent into the slab. I would say a 2' x 2' L shaped rod would be best.
