The traditional process here in South Florida prior to sheetrocking is to load the roof with concrete roof tile (before installing) evenly distributed around the roof, and let it set for a short time.
Then its considered ok to begin sheetrocking.
Due to a MAJOR challenge getting roof tile on time (5 -7 mos), some builders ("some" being very credible high end builders) are going ahead and sheetrocking without the roof tile and then installing it when it comes in.
Any real history either way good/bad or doesn't it really matter? Your input appreciated!
