I just received my router table top and pretty excited about it. I'll be using it for many things but one of the main reasons I got it was to save wood when making corners on furniture and to make it easier when doing columns or anything boxed.
There is a corner miter locking bit that I'll be buying that makes a very nice corner joint that maximizes glue area as seen here (http://www.rockler.com/ecom7/product_details.cfm?&catid=78&objectgroup_id=397&offerings_id=2142).
I have a good sized armoire that I'll be building in the near future so this will come in handy.

I need to find a job like yours.......I have pretty much everything I need in my workshop (minus a planner table) but I have yet found the time to do anything.....I guess that's why I'm looking forward to getting older...then I'll have an excuse

I have to make time... trust me my day isn't setup to build furniture in the evenings. Typical day job - wake 4:30am work at 6am home at 6-7pm. If I'm in the middle of a project I might get to sleep by 11pm.

LOL. I do most of my woodworking on the weekends if I have time. Typical project takes me about 100 hours - which is spread out over like 4 months.. haha.

I have been living in the city for a while now with no room for a perminate shop.

I set up a good tarp shop last year, works well with the climate in Kamloops BC. We had 30 days last summer with temps in the upper
30's c.

Not much rain but it sure is a pain putting all my tools everynight.
