I hope I get an answer fast on this. I have to revove a bidet for a customer so the floor guys can do their work and I have to install it again. I'm not sure what make it is but so far from the internet it lools like it could be a Caroma. The problem is that ther doesn't seem to be any bolts or screws that attaches it to the floor.. All the drains are visible out the back. They come out the back a few inches then drop down into the floor so there isn't any plunbing UNDER the bidet. It looks really easy but at a qucik glance yesterday I noticed that I couldn't see any attachments to the floor. On the Caroma website (Caroma was the only bidet that looked like there were not bolt attachments to the floor) they said that you can basically use a sand and mortar and actually cement it to the floor OR screw it. BUT it doesn't show or explain how to screw it. On the blow-up they don't show any holes for screws. I'm wondering if there is a plate that screws onto the floor first and then slide the didet so it catches the plate. It would work because there are no ( I hope) plumbing underneath though there is no mention of a plate
I'm going away all day so I can't give anymore info if you need it.
I try to look not too stupid in front of a customer. Never saw one without bolts before but I haven't seen too many bidets. Look like agreat idea.

Damn it, I thought I was going to get an answer instead I got a question.
Well, when I first asked I thought I was going to do it the next day but I will be doing it this friday. It seems that very few people know anything about bidet's. After checking on the internet and reading about them I really think I might try to add one to the house I'm getting soon. I always though they were for women only. WRONG. I forget how many million trees we use for toilet paper and I still get skid marks on my under wear. When my wife asks for any coloured laundry I throw her my white jockey shorts NOT IMPRESSED.
I think it will be cemented but what happens when the flooring guys put in the new vinyl does that mean I have to cement it back in place on the new vinyl? I've got a firend who has been a plumber for over 40 years and he only installed 2 bidets. Never removed one though.
I'll let you know what happens.

Just got in the door from.............the bidet job.....(drum roll, thunder and lightning etc etc).
Finall got a good look at it and found that there was a cavity under the bidet with and opening from the rear just big enough to get my hand into. The ceramic continued under the bidet, like a floor, and there were two holes where it was bolted to the floor. BUT and it is a big but, the access hole was blocked by the verticle drain assembly so I had to remove that. After 23 years it had to be cut with a hacksaw. At last clear access througha somewaht small hole. One bolt holding it to the floor was a square headed piece of crap which as you know is very hard to fix a socket over it, which was beside the point because I didn't have any sockets with me so with an adjustable I fought with the square head until I got it off after cutting myself badly on the remnants of of the pipe I cut with the hacksaw.
I also took off the toilet for the vinly flooring guy and put it off to one side. He noticed that there was a big crack in the tank. Lucky it was all black around the edges and obviously very old crack but you can guess who would have got blamed if the tank had broken and flooded the house.
Good lesson: really check over toilets. I haven't put in the toilet because he has to get another Harvest gold toilet or tank and I need parts for the bidet. Lucky they have another bathroom.
