I have setup the forum to only allow for registered users to post. There have been several people spamming the forum, which doens't sit too well with me. I apologize to the good users for any inconvenience.
In line with this - I'm beginning to prune the users that either don't want to be a member anymore, email is not correct, or that haven't posted anything. It'll be a case by case basis - the longer the 0 post member has been signed up the more likely they are to get pruned.
If you get deactivated and didn't want to be - I'm not going to take the time to reactivate you - just sign up again.
Thanks..
Well a quick pass got rid of 50 or so 0 post members.
The only problem from this will be that all these members that are deleted - if they have posts will show up as Guest. Oh well.

Well even though I haven't posted much I hope you don't get rid of me. I do visit from time to time I just haven't had much opportunity to contribute. I still have a lot to learn and mostly I just read what others have to say. I will jump in the first time I have something to contribute or I need to know somthing.

Rich, just wondering why your pruning the people who haven't posted in awhile? Do they take up that much space?
I can understand the people with invalid e-mails.
No real reason other than tidying things up. I hate to look at the members list and see 2/3 of the people with 0 posts. There are actually quite a few who have responded to the email that have posted that wanted removed - quite a chunk of it.
Another big chunk was individuals trying to get a link from the site.. that was fixed in another modification... although I still get them registering.
Just got activated today as a registered...started as a "Newbie" ans it seems I just got re-classifed as "Junior Member"..I assume due to # of posts.......Any Prizes go along with the new title?????
I wish I could - sorry. Boy this takes forever to type on my handheld :)
